On April 25th at the Moll Vell in Palma de Mallorca the Mediterranean nautical season was inaugurated with the start of the Palma International Boat Show. A memorable fair that lasted until April 28th.

With this edition the event celebrated its 40th anniversary and now, more than ever, has focused its goals on the future. It intended to initiate two major objectives, marked by sustainability and economy: the first deals with the study of the economic impact and the second aims to obtain certification as a sustainable event.

First, to meet these objectives, a detailed analysis of the economic impact on the sector and on the island of Palma will be carried out, providing valuable data on the contribution to the local and regional economy. In addition, the aim is to transform the PIBS into a certified sustainable event by measuring the carbon footprint, waste management and resource consumption.

The event exceeded all expectations in terms of company participation, with a total of 295 exhibitors, 24 more than in previous years. Particularly noteworthy was the inclusion of the Palma Superyacht Village, a section designed for the acquisition of boats over 24 meters in length, both sailing and motor, organized by BYBA.

This event has marked the start of the summer season for many yachting enthusiasts. Have you had the opportunity to attend?
