Last Saturday, May 30, Marina Palamós hosted a new edition of its seabed clean-up day, an initiative that we organize regularly and that has become one of the most representative environmental actions reflecting our commitment to coastal conservation.

The activity took place in the waters of Marina Palamós and Cala Morro del Vedell, bringing together divers, volunteers and partner organizations with the aim of removing accumulated waste from the seabed and contributing to the improvement of the environmental condition of these areas.

Beyond waste removal, these events provide an opportunity to closely observe the reality of the marine ecosystem and raise awareness about the importance of reducing the impact of human activity on the environment. The presence of waste on the seabed is a reminder that protecting our oceans requires the ongoing involvement of public administrations, businesses, organizations and citizens.

The event was made possible through the collaboration of Marina Palamós, H2O Diving Center, Ocean4You and Projecte Silmar, with the support of Login Plast, Dive Center Palamós, Mares and Aqua Film Service, as well as all the volunteers who took part in the activity.

This action forms part of a broader sustainability strategy promoted by Marina Palamós, which includes environmental monitoring projects, marine biodiversity studies, renewable energy production and other initiatives aimed at encouraging increasingly environmentally responsible port management.

We would like to thank all the individuals and organizations that participated in this new edition of the seabed clean-up. Their involvement demonstrates that collaboration is one of the most effective tools for protecting the Mediterranean Sea and preserving its biodiversity for future generations.

We will continue to promote this type of initiative because caring for the sea is part of our responsibility as a marina and because we believe that sustainability is built through concrete and ongoing actions over time.
